If you are receiving error 18:
- Make sure you have the very latest version of iTunes (double check)
- Restart WipeDrive Mobile (it’ll download a new IPSW that was released)
- Try it again.
If the problem persists:
- Clear the IPSW cache: C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
- Try to perform the restore/recovery in iTunes directly
- If it works in iTunes, try to perform the wipe again with Mobile.
- Does it work this time?
- If it doesn’t, you should contact Apple support—something is likely wrong with the device or iTunes.
