  SecureClean stops or quits when cleaning the IE and AOL Temporary Internet Folder
Solution If SecureClean is stalling while cleaning the IE and AOL Temporary Internet Files folder, AOL or another internet program is likely running in the Temp Folders. It needs to be closed for the clean to continue. You will need to follow the following steps in order to turn off programs running in the background:
  1. Close AOL
    1. Right Click the AOL icon in the task bar.
    2. Select ‘Exit’
  2. Run ‘Clean My Computer’ again.

If the Scan halts scanning at “IE and AOL Temporary internet files on C:(STATUS) says -- \windows\Tasks\ Temporary\ Internet Files\* again, then you will have to delete processes from your task manager.
  1. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL at the same time to enter the Task Manager.
  2. Click the ‘Processes’ tab.
  3. Select 'WAOL.exe' and click the ‘End Process’ button.
  4. Select 'iexplorer.exe' and click the ‘End Process’ button.
  5. Close the Task Manager.
SecureClean should now run without halting in the Internet Folders.
