What is the Difference Between a Deep Clean and a Quick Clean?
Solution

Both the Deep Clean and the Quick Clean will delete and overwrite the following items on your computer:

  • Deleted Emails
  • Internet Related Data
  • File Use History
  • Temporary Files
  • File Searches

What Does a Deep Clean do?

A Deep Clean will overwrite the following items in addition to the items cleaned by a Quick Clean:
  • Deleted Files and Fragments
Note: This option is always enabled for the Deep Clean.
  • Names of Deleted Files
Note: This option is NOT recommended for use when cleaning NTFS drives.
  • File Slack

We generally recommend that users run a Quick Clean daily and that they run the Deep Clean on a regular schedule at a time when they do not need to use their computer for an extended period of time.
Users that prefer to run a Deep Clean on a daily basis can enable Disk Optimization to reduce the amount of time required to perform the Deep Clean.
